George Leonard Jones, Sr.

George Leonard Jones, Sr., age 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 26th, 2017 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN.  He was born on February 6th, 1941 in Maysvillle, NC to the late Merle and Maggie Kellum Jones.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Glynda Burris Jones of Dickson; two sons, George L. Jones, Jr. (Lisa) of Toano, VA, and Tracy Jones (Pennie) of McEwen, TN.  He is also survived by two grandchildren, Adam Lee Jones and Rachel Lynn Jones.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Military burial honors will follow at Middle Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.  Visitation with the family will begin on Wednesday, January 3rd from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.  Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home. 209 East College Street, Dickson, TN  37055.  Phone 615-446-2313.  Online condolences may be left at www.dicksonfuneralhome.com.
