Terry Tyrone Turner, born June 10,1949- September 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul & Mary Ruth Turner his In Laws-Warren & Caroline Miller, a best friend of over 60 years James David Shavers.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Deborah Turner, Children Terry (Sarabeth) Turner, and Trisha Biggs (Macho). 2 beautiful grandchildren; Nicholas Biggs & Morgan Turner. Brother: Paul (Doris) Turner, Sisters: Theresa (Bill) Nix, Phyllis Hofer. He has numerous Nephews, and Nieces that he loved very much.
Terry grew up in West Nashville, he graduated from Hume Fogg High School. His passion has always been cars, and he had his own repair shop for 44 years, from which he made many friends. Terry enjoyed drag racing, and he was known to those who raced with him as “Killer” (because he had a great reaction time off the tree). Terry acquired other passions, he loved playing Holdem every Wednesday night, with his poker buddies; his biggest Poker buddy being his son, Terry Turner. Another passion of his was travel. He and his family were blessed to be able to travel to many amazing places both nationally and internationally.
Terry was one of the biggest Tennessee Volunteer Fans, ever. His blood ran true ORANGE.
Terry’s greatest passion was caring and helping his family and anyone else that needed help.
In short, Terry will be missed for the love and care he gave his family and friends for his kindness to others, his strength and character, and a man who when he gave you his word, you could guarantee he kept it.
Visitations will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 4-6 pm, and on Sunday, September 15, 2024, starting at 1:30 with the Service following at 3:00 pm. The service will be officiated by his daughter Trisha Biggs and Rev. Denise Settle at Dickson Funeral Home, 209 E. College St., Dickson, TN 37055.
He will be interned at Scott’s Cemetery in Kingston Springs, TN at a later date.
