August 7th, 1947 – February 29th, 2024
Ronald Stuart Rockwell, 76 years of age, Dickson TN, passed away February 29, 2024, at home.
Ronald was born on August 7th, 1947, in San Marino, California. He was raised and loved by James (Jack) Stuart and Evelyn Mae (Kujath) Rockwell.
Ron played High School football and baseball and was certified in SCUBA. He was a member of De-Molay and served in the Civil Air Patrol from 1963 to 1965. After receiving an Associate of Arts Degree at Pomona City College, he continued his education with certifications in First Class Radiotelephone and as a Closed-Circuit Television Technician. Ron was a licensed private piolet and worked for Santa Fe Railroad and Gold Star Recording Studios as a Licensed Electronic Technician. Later in life, Ron drove big rig 18 wheelers. Ron loved Bible study and helping others. He was known by those around him to be prepared for anything and always be willing to lend a hand. He was an avid reader and maintained a personal library of over 2300 books, his favorite of which were science fiction. His passions in life were loving God, his family, camping, telling stories, reading, listening to music, and watching star trek and NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Rockwell. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister Diana, daughter Heather, son-in-law , Bradley and his grandchildren, Aden and Marek.
A memorial will be held at the Dickson Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, March 10 at 2pm with Pastor Mike Foraker officiating.
