Rick “R.D.” James, age 58, of Dickson, TN, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 in Davidson County, TN. Rick was born March 18, 1962 in Dickson, TN, to the late Bobby Earl and Verble (Edwards) James. He is survived by his wife, Scarlett Hall James of Dickson, TN; sons, Ricky (Keisha) James of North Carolina and Lucas James of Dickson, TN; daughters, Hope Palk of Dickson, TN, and Courtney (Marcus) Adams of Dickson, TN; brothers, Barry White of White Bluff, TN, Bobby (Jola) James Jr. of Waverly, TN, Andrew (Krystal) James of Waverly, TN, and Danny (Holly) James of Gordonsville, TN; sisters, Joni Davis of Dickson, TN, Barbara Foster of Carthage, TN, Paula (Don) Picard of Dickson, TN, and Pamela James of Carthage, TN; a sister-in-law, Patricia James of Bellevue, TN; two grandchildren, Garrett Mason of North Carolina and Kinley Grace Slayton of Dickson, TN. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Randy James. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri-Star Bank for his son, Lucas James. Visitation with the family will be at Dickson Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and will resume on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10:00 A.M until the time of service. Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Matt Wade officiating.
