Richard Trent Wallace, 82, of Nashville, TN, passed away February 4, 2023 at his home in Nashville, TN.
Richard was born June 18, 1940 in Nashville, TN, to the late Marvin Trent and Willie Bea (Smith) Wallace.
Richard lived in Fairview, TN, from about the age of 7 years old, where his dad and mom owned a grocery store on Hwy 100 named, Wallace’s Grocery. He started out as an insurance underwriter and other odd jobs, such as owning a night club with his cousin Terry Jones, called The Blue Horizon. He worked for Hutton Realtors for many years before forming his own company, The Real Estate Agency. He was a Master Gardener. He was a member of the Cumberland Herb Association, The Nashville Bee Association, West Highland Rim Forestry Association, and The Tennessee Jazz and Blues Society.
Those left to cherish his memory are four children, Ricky Wallace, Debra (Marshall) Burgess-Walker, Robin (Bobby) Harrison, and Michelle (Kevin) Murakami; ten grandchildren, Matthew, Garrett, Gabrielle, Noelle, Trevor, Tyler, Nikki, Autumn, Carmen, and Haley; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Gathering on Friday, February 10, 2023 at The Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. There will be an Inurnment at a later date at Taylor’s Chapel First Church of God Cemetery in Dover, TN.
