Patricia Ann Pfeifer

Patricia (Patty) Ann Pfeifer (Farris), an avid reader, lover of children, medical assistant, mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed table side games (some might say she was the “Queen of Jacks”) and possessed an infectious laugh, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 14th, 2024. She was 67. 

She was a 1975 graduate of Finneytown High School, attended University of Cincinnati for two years in the nursing program and attended a 6-month Medical Assistant college and has worked in that field ever since, other than the 10 year she was off doing foster care (see below). 

Throughout her life, Patty had a passion for Christ and loved spending time on the lake from an early age. She found joy through collecting dolls and antiques, especially teacups. She also enjoyed making dolls Cabbage Patch dolls for friends.

She had a calling and a love for children, fostering many (44 over 10 years) and caring for others during her time as a pediatric medical assistant. Additionally, she loved her pets. Over the years caring for two teacup poodles (Babette and Pepe’) and two bichons (Chloe and Lacey). 

She worked with the Davidson and Williamson County Foster Care Associations and served on the Davidson County Foster Care Review Board. She also served as a volunteer for the Granberry PTO for several years, presided over the annual Book Fair and then served as the PTO president for one year.

Patty was predeceased by her father William O Farris Sr. She is survived by her mother Bertha Farris of Union, KY, husband Rowen Pfeifer and two children, daughter Lindsey (Pfeifer)Henneman, her husband Josh, and their son, Patty’s grandson, Alex, son Jonathan Pfeifer, brother William O Farris Jr and his wife Tami. 

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 19thfrom 5:30 – 8:00pm at Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center (Dickson, TN). At 7 pm we will provide a time to share memories or stories anyone wants to share. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 20th from 1:00 – 2:00pm at Independence and Highland Cemetery (Fort Mitchell, KY).

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that gifts be made to Miriam’s Promise Adoption Center (https://miriamspromise.org) and AGAPE Nashville Foster Association (https://agapenashville.org).
