Myrtle Marie Burris

Myrtle Marie Burris, age 93, of Nashville, TN, passed away February 9, 2020 at Woodcrest at Blakeford in Nashville, TN. Myrtle was born February 24, 1926 in Dickson County, TN to the late Henry Clay and Georgia Ethel (Rumsey) Waynick. She is survived by two daughters, Glynda Jones of Dickson, TN, and Georgia Kay Sanders of Nashville, TN; one sister, Agnes Ellis of Dickson, TN; three grandchildren, Michael Sanders, Tracy Jones, and George Leonard Jones, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel Jones and Adam Jones. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, George Lewis Burris, Jr.; a daughter, Linda Lou Burris; two brothers, Arthur Waynick and Luther Waynick; and six sisters, Tinnie Adkins, Daisy Russell, Lizzie Raines, Cora Wright, Ellen Davis, and Mildred Ellis. Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. and will resume on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at Dickson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, February 14, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Larry McGranahan officiating.
