Mary Magdalene Fowlkes Vineyard, age 98, of Dickson, Tennessee passed away August 27, 2021, at NHC Healthcare in Dickson,Tennessee. Mary Magdalene was born on August 21, 1923 in Dickson County, Tennessee to Jarrett Curl and Beulah Lankford Fowlkes, the 5th of 11 children. She married Sammie Neal Vineyard on May 9, 1943. They were married for 59 years. He passed away May 29, 2002. She lived her life as a devoted wife, loved her children, grand children, and great-grand children instilling the values of love for one another, faith in God, hard work and honesty. She was a long-time member of New Hope Baptist Church, in Bon Aqua, Tennessee, putting God and faith first in her life. She served as a Sunday School teacher for several years. She loved reading and studying the Bible and Charles Stanley daily devotions. When she was able, she loved working in her flower beds. She enjoyed cooking for her family, paying attention to each ones favorties. She is survived by, Son, Delmer (Joan) Vineyard of Dickson, TN; Daughter, Beverly (Jerry) Pounds; 4 Grand Children, Michael (Kim) Yates of Dickson, TN, Jeffrey (Allyson) Yates of Vanleer, TN, Mary Ellen (Jim) Ferebee of Burns, TN, and Lori (Jim) DeMoss of Hendersonville, TN; 5 Great Grand Children, Parker Yates of Dickson, TN, Natalie Yates of McEwen, TN, Cooper Ferebee of Cookeville, TN, and Libby and Leah DeMoss of Hendersonville, TN; 1 Sister, Ruth Hall of Dickson, TN; and Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 5 brothers, Hershel, Bert, J.C., Orville and Kenneth; and 4 sisters, Rachel Luther, Bama Fielder, Agnes Street, and Sherry Wingo. Those desiring memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Weems Cemetery Fund. Visitation with the family will be Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and will resume on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home. Celebration of Life for Mary Magdalene Fowlkes Vineyard will be Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Weems Cemetery in Dickson, TN.
