John Weldon Forster, age 84, of Dickson, TN, passed away March 24, 2021 at Alive Hospital in Nashville, TN. John was born August 13, 1936 in McEwen, TN to (son of late) William Omer and Nellie Inez (Choate) Forster. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He attended McEwen High School. In 1986, June, received his GED, from Dickson Area Vocational School. He worked at Kiger Gulf Service Station in Nashville. He worked 21 years for Schrader Automotive Products in Dickson. As a machine operator and set-up mechanic in tool & die department. Upon there closing, he worked at Precision Tubular Heater Corporation and Worthington Precision Metals in Franklin, TN. He retired from Worthington in 2007. He played basketball while in high school at McEwen. He liked old cars and trucks. He liked watching basketball, especially Vanderbilt. His survivors are his wife, Mille; daughter, Gala (Bo); Brother, Walter Earl Forster of McEwen, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by one sister, Corlene Harris; three brothers, William Omer Forster Jr., Lee A. Forster, and James Carl Forster. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Dickson Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and will resume on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., with Steve Forster officiating; burial will follow to Union Cemetery.
