Ira Bell Eldridge

Ira Bell Eldridge of Dickson, TN; Age 82; Passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018, at NHC Healthcare Facility in Dickson, TN.

She was born in Dickson County, TN on July 10, 1936, to the late Horace Elijah, and Daisy Bell (Lovell) Pickering.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell Leon Eldridge; brother Everett Pickering; as well as her sisters Mildred Hines, Mary Miller, and Sara Booker.

She is survived by her sons Russell Brent Eldridge (Sandy) of Charlotte, TN, and Darren Keith Eldridge of Dickson, TN; daughters Kay Eldridge Ragland of Dickson, TN, and Sheryl Eades (Ronnie) of Dickson, TN; eight grandchildren Tracy Robertson, Amber McCoy, Tylesa Eldridge, Angie Carson, April Mannen, Erica Thomas, D.L. Eldridge, and Meagan Woodcock; as well as ten great-grandchildren Cole, Casey , Gage, Patrick, Olivia, Matthew, Luke, Jacob, Samuel, and Nick.

She was a  longtime member of Oak Avenue Church of Christ.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 01, 2018 from 4 – 8 PM, and will continue on Saturday, November 03, 2018 from 11:00 AM – until the time of services.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 03, 2018 from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Miller officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Dickson, TN.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the American Cancer Unit – Dickson, or Oak Avenue Church of Christ.
