Elton Malcolm Mangrum of Burns, passed away on Wednesday, November 21st, at Dickson Healthcare Center at the age 98. He was born on May 7, 1920 to the late Mr. John Wes Mangrum and Mrs. Ester Adeline Davidson Mangrum. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Dora Hammon Mangrum, son Larry Mangrum, brothers John Ernest, Thomas Andrew “Boo”, and Leo Mangrum, and sister Emma Gene Lampley. Survivors include: sons Robert Lee Mangrum (Nina) of Burns and Samuel Leo Mangrum of Fairview; daughter Dorris Sue Reed (David) of Pegram; brother Roy Neil Mangrum (Faye) of Bon Aqua; sisters Marie Buttrey of Burns and Ruth Huey of Bon Aqua. There are seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, November 24th, from 12 Noon until 8 pm and Sunday, November 25th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service for Mr. Elton Malcolm Mangrum will be Sunday, November 25th, from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 1 pm with Bro. Thomas Sullivan officiating.
