Betty Jean Manley

Betty Jean Manley, 89 years old of Dickson, TN, passed away March 2, 2023 at her residence.

Betty was born August 23, 1933, in Hickman County, TN to the late Allen Kelly and Hazel Mae (Plunkett) Petty.

Betty loved to do puzzles and was always cleaning. She was married to her late husband, Joe Manley for over 40 years. She was a true homemaker from taking care of her husband and children, to cooking, canning veggies, jellies and fruits, to making sausage; her home and family were taken care of.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Wanda (Larry) Davidson, Connie (Roger) Raynor, and Terry Joe (Mary) Manley, all of Dickson, TN; seven grandchildren, William (Angie) Davidson, Jody (Angela) Davidson, Jeffery (Beth) Davidson, Jennifer (Kenny) Dearborn, Ashley (Donnie) Carrington, Toshia (Chris Walker) Raynor, and Christopher Manley; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Manley; daughter, Tammy Manley; and a sister, Allene Bender.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 6, 2023 at Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in McElhiney Cemetery.
