Betty Jo Grant

Betty Jo Grant, 85 years old, of Dickson, TN, passed away September 11, 2024, at NHC-Dickson.

Betty was born September 2, 1939, in Curryville, GA,  to the late Rufus Fuller and Bonnie (Harrison) Fuller Bell. 

She worked in housekeeping as well as retired from Camp Garner's Creek.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Richard H. Blalock and Carl R. Grant; daughters, Carlene Grant Tucker, Donna Blalock Morley Kovach, and Cynthia (Cindy) Grant Hamilton; grandchildren, Sabrina Grant, Laura Hamilton (Choate), and Ashley Grant; brother-in-law, Richard Knight; and step-father, Jack Bell. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Delilah Blalock (Larry) Parker; sons, Carl R. (Mary Ann) Grant, Keith J. Grant, and Michael (Renea) Grant; brothers, Gary (Barbara) Fuller and Carl (Dawn) Fuller; sisters, Retha Fuller Pace (Garry) Kidd and Sharon Bell Rosser Knight; son-in-laws, Tom Kovach, Danny Tucker, Sr., and Eric Hamilton; grandchildren, Stacey Parker McVoy, Amanda Parker, Erica Morley Czernia, William "Buster" Morley, Tara Kovach (Ben) Peters, Danny (Cassie) Tucker, Jr., Tawnya Tucker (RayDale) Vaughn, Jordyn Grant, Bryan (Amber) Grant, Jon-Michael Grant (Katlyn Stansbury); great-grandchildren, Logan (Ariel) McVoy, Lauren McVoy (Brenden Dickens),Logan Czernia, Rease Peters, Jayden & RayLynn Vaughn, Karsyon Grant, Levi and Grady Tucker, Shelby; Nevaeh; Hayden; Dalton, and Kaylee Choate and Emerlynn; great-great grandchildren, Paisleigh; Dawson and Hudson McVoy; Good Garners Creek neighbor, Bobby Ritchison; and many loved aunts, uncles, nephews, niece and many long time friends. 

Special Thank You from the family to granddaughter Tawnya and the special caregivers, staff, and nursing home friends, for the great care that Mom was given over the last two years at NHC-Dickson. 

Betty's wishes were to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time.
