Betsy Bob Porter

Betsy Bob Porter, age 92, of Dickson, TN, passed away September 11, 2021, at her residence. Betsy was born September 14, 1928, in Perry County, TN, to the late Jesse James and Ruth (Martin) Ramey. Those left to cherish her memory are, four sons, David R. (Debbie) Porter of Dickson, TN, Greg (Katie) Porter of Dickson, TN, Michael (Victoria) Porter of Nashville, TN, and Dennis A. (Wendy) Porter of Greenville, S.C.; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by, husband, Robert Porter; son, Jimmy Porter; sisters, Alene (Woodrow) Hooper, Helen (Norris) Rouse, Mary (Grady) Byrn, and Nell (Emory) Brown; brother, O'neal Ramey; daughter-in-law, Anita Porter; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Porter. The family will receive guest, Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and will resume on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m., at Dickson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home, with Bro. Paul Picard and Larry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Pond Community Club or Pond Presbyterian Church.
