Virginia Lee Sullivan

  Virginia Lee Sullivan, age 81, passed away on Thursday, March 8th at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.  She was born on August 29th, 1936 to the late William Henry and Lucille Virginia Johns Bailey in Pine Castle, FL.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Sullivan; and brother William Earl Bailey. She is survived by three sons, George W. Sullivan (Shannon) of Murfreesboro, TN, John E. Sullivan (Lisa) of Fairview, James P. Sullivan (Debbie) of Burns,; three daughters, Laura “Lucy” Dawson (Michael) of Burns, Delores M. Irwin (Terrell) of Dickson, Polly A. Sullivan of Burns; and one sister, Marie Toye of Orlando, FL.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10th at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Luther officiating.  Interment to follow at Tomlinson Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dickson County Chapter of The American Cancer Society; Tomlinson Cemetery, or the Dickson County Humane Society.
