Peggy Ann Abell-Thomason

Peggy Ann Abell-Thomason, age 84, passed away on Sunday, February 18th, 2018 at her residence in Dickson.  She was born on June 17th, 1933 to the late Thurman C. and Christelle Kretchman Wallace.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Howard R. Abell, Sr.; and sisters Billie Sue Kiefer and Dorothy Street. She is survived by her husband, Jay Thomason of Dickson; two sons, Howard Ramon Abell, Jr. (Cathy) and Andy Wayne Abell (Tammie) , both of Dickson; daughter Terri Lynn Whipkey (Andy) of Charlotte; sister Bernice Gunn of Houston, TX; and four grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Andrew and Brandon Abell; Lisa Holt (Justin); as well as two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Holt and Rylee Childress. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Van Holloway officiating. A private burial will follow at a later time.  Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday, February 24th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Dickson County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
