Dorothy Sue Potter

Dorothy Sue Hamilton Potter, age 72 of Dickson, passed away on April 9th, 2017 at her residence.  She is survived by one daughter, Missy Potter Zimmerman of Dickson; three grandchildren, Jason (Sidney) Elsea, Autumn (Russell) Smith, Kiersten Zimmerman, and one great-grandchild, Grayson Elsea.   She is also survived by two brothers, James Hamilton and Chuck Hamilton (Vickie) of Dickson; and sister Jeri Barber (Jimmy), also of Dickson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucian and Hazel Hargrove Hamilton, both of Dickson, TN; and brother Billy Eugene Hamilton.  She worked at Red Kap shirt factory until it relocated and then went to work at Shiloh Industries, from which she retired.  She was a long time member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Dickson.  She loved the outdoors, planting flowers, bonfires, and spending time with her family and friends. They were everything to her. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 11th from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12th at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Donnie Craig officiating.  Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
