Lewis Frederick Holmes, Jr.; of Waverly, TN; Age 63; Passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN.  Lewis was born in Davidson County, TN on Wednesday, May 06, 1953 to the Late Mr. Lewis Frederick Holmes, Sr. & Ms. Betty (Edmondson) Ellis.Lewis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He is survived by his sons Christopher Holmes, and Jason Holmes (Tuesday) both of Chesterfield, VA; brothers Henry Ellis (Cynthia) of Nashville, TN, Andrew Holmes of Bon Aqua, TN; step-brother Robert Michael Ellis of Michigan; step-sister Patricia Diane Carter (Harold) of Lobelville, TN; 4 grandchildren Kaleb, Jasmine, Noah, and Adam Holmes; as well as several Nieces, Nephews, Special Friends, and his beloved companion of 14 years Princess.  Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Toni H. Martin, and Sallie O. Burgess; as well as several brothers. The visitation for Mr. Holmes will begin on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 3 – 8 PM and will continue on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 12 PM – until time of service.  The funeral service will be on Thursday, July 28, 2016 beginning at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Andrew Allen officiating.  Burial will follow at the Ellis Cemetery in Bon Aqua, TN.  Arrangements entrusted to Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center – 209 E.
