Jimmy Ray Williams, age 71 passed away on Saturday, November 28th at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. He was born in Dickson County on June 4th, 1944 to the late Dallas and Pearl Martin Williams. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant brother. He is survived by his wife, Betty B. Williams of Biloxi, MS; one son, John Eric Williams (Jenny) of Cedar Hill, TN; one daughter, Sheila Salewsky (Mike) of Dickson, TN; special sister-in-law, Aunt Mary Buttrey of White Bluff, TN; “Mom and Pop” Jack and Ruby Corkan and family of White Bluff; one sister, Edna Huff and one foster sister, Patricia Cocke Cauthen both of White Bluff. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Leslie Sims, Matt Salewsky, Benjamin Williams, Jacob Williams, and Johanna Williams, and one great-grandchild, Knox Sims.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December the 5th at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in White Bluff, TN with Reverend Hong officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at Dickson Funeral Home on Friday, December 4th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
