Dorothy Lois Ponder

Dorothy Lois Ponder, age 85 passed away on September 10th, 2015 in Dickson, TN. She was born on May 17th, 1930 in Birmingham, AL to the late J.C. Weathers and Vianna Norwood Weathers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ponder and sisters Marie and Betty. She is survived by three sons, Jon L. Ponder (Patricia) of Gallatin, TN, Jay G. Ponder (Shirley) of White Bluff, TN, Kirk A. Ponder (Melody) of Clarksville, TN; one daughter, Rebecca L. Williams (Ted) of Dickson, TN; one brother, J.C. Weathers, Jr. of Gadston, AL; two sisters, Gloria Allen of Columbia, SC, Emiline Brewer of Alabama; and several grandchildren and great-great children. Services will be held from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home on September 15th, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the Veterans' Cemetery in Pegram, TN. Visitation with the family will begin on Monday, September 14th, at 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
