Mr. Burl Wesley Mangrum, Sr. of McEwen, Tn. passed away Sunday, July 05,2015 in the Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, Tn. at the age of 88. Mr. Mangrum is survived by: Wife - Mary Mangrum of McEwen Sons - Burl W. Mangrum, Jr. of Waverly, Jimmy L. Mosley of Nashville, Robert E. Mangrum of Ashland City, Charles R. Mangrum of McEwen. Daughters - Margret A. Lang, Patricia D. Elliott, Candace M. Robertson, Billie Fay Mangrum all of McEwen. Sever Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren,and one Great Grandchild. Mr. Mangrum is preceded in death by parents John Henry and Jessie Mangrum, sons John Anthony Mangrum and Charles Earnest Mosley, great grandchildren Howard Gene Ray, Amanda Rose Elliott, and John Anthony Mangrum. Mr. Mangrum was a hard working husband and loving father. He was raised in Nashville and worked several different odd jobs, then started working for the State of Tennessee Department of Forestry (retired in 1990 after 33 years). He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1946-1947. Visitation for Mr. Burl Wesley Mangrum Sr. will be Tuesday, July 7,2015 from 1-8 and again on Wednesday July the 8th until time of services. Funeral services for Mr. Mangrum will be Wednesday July 8,2015 from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Mangrum Family Cemetery in McEwen, Tn.
