Wayne Myatt

Wayne Clemon Myatt was born January 3, 1936 to Clarence and Vida May (Brown) Myatt in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away May 4, 2015 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville. He was 79 years of age. He is survived by his son Jonathan Wayne Myatt and wife Alisha and daughter Anita Lyn Palmer (all of Madison, Alabama) and sister Leona Flowers of Burns. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Barry Dean Myatt, daughter Donna Jeannette Brown, brother Glynn Myatt, and sisters Louise Davidson, Eleanor Hill, and Doris Brown. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 16th, beginning at 11 am from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Mayberry officiating. The service will be with full military honors. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service. Mr. Myatt served in the United States Army, 1954-79, as a clinical specialist in MEDDAC Corp. He was a veteran of both the Vietnam and Korean Wars and an active member of the American Legion and Vietnam Veterans of American where he volunteered his time for his fellow veterans. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville or the Vietnam Veterans of America, who continually support and care for our honored veterans.
