Carlton Knox Wright

Mr. Carlton Knox Wright was born July 3, 1931 to Warren W. and Allie (Hardison) Wright in Davidson County, Tennessee. He passed away December 13, 2014 at the NHC Healthcare Center of Dickson. He was 83 years of age. He is preceded in death by his parents and son Carlton Knox Wright, Jr. Knox graduated from DuPont High School and later MTSU with a degree in Agriculture in 1955. He served his country in the United States Army as a 1st Lt. in the Infantry from 1955-57. Knox was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trainer of Labrador Retrievers from 1960 until 1982. He is survived by Sarah Wright, the mother of Carlton and Kathy Wright of Dickson. Also son Cory Wright (Candice) of California, and brother Kenneth "Moe" Wright and wife Betty of Memphis, TN, four grandchildren Knox (Andrea) Wright III, of Georgia, Alyssa, Dominick, and Donovin Wright, two great grandchildren Emma and Braedyn Wright of Georgia, and Knox's beloved pet Easy. Funeral services were Tuesday, December 16th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Lankford officiating. Burial with military honors was in the Beech Cemetery in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Dickson County Humane Society.
