Diane Lucille Birt

Diane Lucille Birt, age 60, of Cumberland Furnace, TN went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday morning after a long battle with cancer. Born Nov 24, 1954 in Coffeyville, KS, she is survived by her parents, Stanley and Charlotte Cooper of Welch, OK; husband, Joseph Birt; daughter Alisha and husband, Michael Schuchman, of Villa Rica, GA., daughter Rebecca Birt of Cumberland Furnace, TN; granddaughters Lexi and Olivia Schuchman of Villa Rica, GA; Brothers Richard Cooper, of Edna, KS; David Cooper and wife Geri of Welch, OK; Ronald Cooper and wife Carol of Oklahoma City, OK; Tom Cooper and wife Marty of Neodesha, KS; sister Beth and husband Terry Rogers of Dewey, OK; and many nieces and nephews. Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Cooper, her daughter, Shawna Renee Birt, and her son, James Lloyd Birt. A visitation and memorial service will take place at Dickson Funeral Home, 209 East College Street, Dickson, TN on Thursday, December 18th from 5:30p to 7:30p. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Elm Grove/North Edna Cemetery in Edna, Kansas. Flowers may be sent to the Dickson Funeral Home, and memorial donations may be made to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
