Mrs. Ruth Marie Hall was born April 7, 1919 to W.C. and Susie (Sager) Hall in Dickson County, Tennessee. She passed away November 15, 2014 at her residence in Nashville. She is survived her special daughter-like nieces Susan Dawson and Janice Dawson, both of Nashville, and other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Myra Delones, Betty Dawson, Norma Harris, Billy Hall, and Malcolm Hall. She attended Burns Elementary School, was the softball catcher for and graduated from Dickson High School in 1939. She was the manager and fruit basket designer for the Sunshine Shop for 52 years. She retired at age 87 and still drive. She was a member of the West Nashville UMC for over 40 years, where she taught Sunday School and was renowned for scripture memory. Ruth loved her Lord Jesus and lived a selfless life devoted to Him, family and friends. She never said an unkind word, living with a heart of gratitude, integrity, courage and strenght. She was gorgeous and beautiful with a quiet deep grace. She had a passion for gardening with family, traveled to most of the lower 48 states. Her favorite color was pink and she loved chocolate milk and strawberry milkshakes. In her last years, she was a resident of Blakeford at Woodcrest, where she loved her roommate, Betty, and staff, enjoying music, art, bingo, and worship. Funeral services were Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Dickson Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ann Bassett officiating. Burial followed in the Hall Cemetery in Burns. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
