Betty Jo Griffin

Mrs. Betty Jo (Estes) Griffin was born April 28, 1929 to Joseph Franklin and Emma John (Hall) Estes in Dickson County, Tennessee. She passed away August 29, 2014 at Dickson Healthcare Center. She was 85 years of age. She is survived by her daughter JoAnn Griffin of Dickson. Nieces and nephews include Beth Luke of Dickson, Maxine Bowker (James) of Saline, Michigan, Kay Harbison (Howard) of Dickson, Peggy Fisher (Wayne) of Nashville, Claudia Hall (Steve) of Kentucky, and Sherry Spencer (Bob) of Dickson. Besides her parents, Mrs. Griffin is preceded in death by husband Fred Griffin, sister Ethel Estes Hall, brothers Willie and Clayton Estes, along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, September 1st, from 4-8 pm and Tuesday, September 2nd, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Septembe 2nd, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
