Mr. James H. "Tommy" Carver was born April 5, 1921 to Freemon and Cora (Hayes) Carver in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away July 27, 2014 at the NHC Healthcare Center of Dickson. He was 93 years of age. Survivors include: daughter Sharon Ann Engel and husband Paul of Greenwood, Indiana; brothers Jake Carver of Vero Beach, Florida, Lloyd Carver of Hendersonville, TN, and Larry Carver of Vanleer; sisters Eulene Lancaster of Park Hills, Missouri, Georgia Counts of St. Ann, Missouri, Virginia McKinney of Martinsville, Indiana, Sue Mader of Nashville, and Jeanette Clemons of Nashville; granddaughter Brandy Ragsdale of Greenwood, Indiana; great grandson Nicholas Day of Greenwood, Indiana; and 28 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30th, beginning at 11 am. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 30th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Paul Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery of Dickson. Mr. Carver served his country in the United States Army (1942-44) during World War II. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
