Francis Edmund Mowat

Mr. Francis Edmund "Ed" Mowat was born November 13, 1943 to George Armstrong Bullet and Edith Pearl (West) Bullet in Shelby, Montana. He passed away April 25, 2014 at his residence in Dickson. He was 70 years of age. Survivors include: wife of 45 years Ruby J. Mowat; daughters Bonnie Jean Pond (Joe) of Mobile, Alabama, Edith Ola (Gary) of Ashland City, Frances Mowat (Tim Sprott) of Smyrna, Samantha McLean (Cleve) of Cunningham, and Ann Mohamed (Brian) of Dickson; grandchildren Ricky Doyle Owens, Kayla Owens, Alison Fortner, C.J. Fortner, Alex Fortner, Brandon Cranfield, Sarah Cranfield, Gary Ola, Jr., Hunter Ola, Lane Ola, Casey Jones, Sabrina Cranfield, Christie Cranfield, Rachel Mohamed, and Gabriel Mohamed. There are two great grandchildren. Mr. Mowat was a member of the Pomona Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, 1962-83. He retired at the rank of Sergeant First Class. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm.
