Donald Edward Cauthen

Mr. Donald Edward Cauthen, Sr. was born December 4, 1928 to Rufus and Gladys (Baker) Cauthen in Davidson County, Tennessee. He passed away April 21, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville. He was 85 years of age. Survivors include: sons David Cauthen of White Bluff, Donald Cauthen, Jr. of White Bluff, and Eddie Burch (Stephanie) of Dickson; daughters Donna Oliver (Keith) of Burns and Judy Choate (Donnie) of Dickson; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Cauthen is preceded in death by his wives Nancy Cauthen and Agnes Burch Cauthen, brother Harold Cauthen, and granddaughter Tonya Cauthen. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22nd, from 6-8 pm and Wednesday, April 23rd, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 23rd, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Steve Baggett and Bro. Bobby Cathey officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery in White Bluff. Mr. Cauthen proudly served in the United States Army, 1946-47. He worked as an electrician and appliance service technician until 1963. He then went to work at Vanderbilt University where he retired in 1979. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
