Albert John Weems

Mr. Albert John Weems was born February 3, 1936, to John C. and Euvilla Nicks Weems in Montgomery County, TN. He passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. He was 78 years of age. Mr. Weems is survived by his wife of 48+ years, Genelle Weems of Cumberland Furnace, daughter; Connie Witherow and her husband Todd of White Bluff, daughter-in-law; Rebecca Klein and her husband Troy of Greensboro, NC, sister; Verda McCurdy of Southside, twin sister; Jane Grimes and her husband Ruben of Southside, 4 grandchildren; Kyle Dietz and his wife Shannon, Juletta Klein, Nathan Weems, and Carmen Witherow, 2 great grandchildren; Kaiden and Jaxon Dietz. He was preceded in death by his parents; John C. and Euvilla Nicks Weems, son, Randy Joe Weems, sisters; Elizabeth Dillard, Nancy Hagewood, and Sara Garner, and brother; Joe Nat Weems. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 9, 2014, from 11 a.m. until time of service. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m. with Bro. Michael Koontz officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Slayden. Mr. Weems was a decon with the Gum Springs Baptist Church in Cunningham and Past Master of the Camp Lodge 445 Masons in Slayden.
