Ima Lorene Gilmer

Mrs. Ima Lorene Gilmer was born April 16, 1916 to William S. and Melinda (Tidwell) Harrington in Dickson County, Tennessee. She passed away January 25, 2014 at NHC Healthcare Center in Dickson. She was 97 years of age. Survivors include: son Prentice "Pete" Graham (Liz) of Dickson; step-son Phillip Gilmer of Flint, Michigan; grandchildren Pamela Etheridge (Doug) of Dickson, Susan Graham of Nashville, and Linda Mendonall (Aaron)of Nashville; step grandchildren Valerie Littleton (Karl) of Dickson and Holly Moore (Sean) of Dickson; great grandchildren Amy Fizer (Anthony)of Burns, Brandon Etheridge (Katie) of Old Hickory, Justin Etheridge (Meghann) of Virginia, Ashley Deering of Nashville, and Amelia Murphy of Nashville; step great grandchildren Miranda Britt, Jake, Luke, and Olivia Littleton, and Sam Moore; great great grandchildren Annabelle and Aiden Fizer, Kira, Ella Rose, and Brogan Deering, Colin and McKenzie Etheridge. Besides her parents, Mrs. Gilmer is preceded in death by her husband Thomas "Tookie" Gilmer, brothers A.D. and Phillip Harrington, and sisters Melissa Turbeville, Betty Brown, Edna Bledsoe, and Eunice Dennison. Visitation will be Monday, January 27th, from 4-8 pm and Tuesday, January 28th, from 9 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 28th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 11 am with Bro. Larry Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery of Dickson.
