Joseph Fred Brooks

Mr. Joseph Fred Brooks was born November 6, 1933 to Robert Frank and Mandy Jewel (Kelley) Brooks in Maury County, Tennessee. He passed away November 28, 2013 at the Christian Care Center of Ashland City, Tennessee. He was 80 years of age. Survivors include: wife Alice Mae (Minard0 Brooks; step-son Tim Pumphrey (Pam) of Marietta, Mississippi; daughters Tammy Jo Taylor (Tony) of Mt. Juliet and Sandy Lynn Brooks (David Wills) of Nashville; step-daughter Pam Smith of Eagleville; brother Leslie Brooks of Columbia; grandchildren Alexa Shea Taylor, Dalton Blake Taylor, McKenzie Lynn Brooks, and Riley Brooke Wills; ex-wife and mother of his children Sarah Evelyn Brook Johnson. Besides his parents, Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by brothers Andrew and Larry Brooks. Visitation will be Sunday, December 1st, from 4-8 pm and Monday, December 2nd, from 12 Noon until time of service. Funeral service will be Monday, December 2nd, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 1 pm with Bro. Fred Mayberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery in Maury County, Tennessee. Mr. Brooks proudly served his country in the United States Army, 1951-54. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
