Charles Neil Gillum

Mr. Charles Neil Gillum was born June 29, 1930 to Floyd Thomas and Mable (McClurkan) Gillum in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away September 25, 2013 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. Survivors include: wife Betty E. Gillum; daughters Rita Estes (David) of Burns, Joy Waychoff of Dickson, Lori Barber (Jeff) of Burns, and Dana Baker (Darryl) of Burns; step-son Darrell Edmisson (Kathy) of Dickson; grandchildren Crystal Edmisson, Darren Edmisson, Daniele Dotson, Rita Sims, Jaime Wall, and Jeffrey Barber, Jr.; five great grandchildren. Funeral services are Friday, September 27th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Adair and Sister Carol Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Gillum served his country in the United States Army, 1951-53. He was a member of the Edgewood United Methodist Church. He worked as a sales agent for 42 years with the American General Insurance Agency. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
