Wanda Fay Atkinson

Mrs. Wanda Fay Atkinson was born December 4, 1953 to Robert and Francis (Smith) Hall in Humphreys County, Tennessee. She passed away September 19, 2013 at her residence in Dickson following a lengthy illness. She is survived by: her husband of 39 years John Atkinson; daughter Holly Atkinson of Dickson; brothers Robert Hall of Linden, Roy Hall of McEwen, and Dickie Hall of Tacoma, Washington; sisters Brenda Nichols of Waverly, Rita Poole of Dickson, Gail Paschall of Nashville, and Ann Hall of Sanford, North Carolina; grandchildren Michaela Keyes, James Loudin, Jr., and Victoria Hamilton. Besides her parents, Mrs. Atkinson is preceded in death by her brothers Timothy, Johnny, and Willis Ray Hall, and sister Kathy Marrs. Visitation will be Saturday, September 21st, from 4-8 pm and Sunday, September 22nd, from 12 Noon until time of service. Funeral service will be Sunday, September 22nd, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm. Family members will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery of Dickson with full military honors. Mrs. Atkinson proudly served her country in the United States Air Force, 1973-93. She was one of the first women officers to work in the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
