Mary Pearl Baker

Mrs. Mary Pearl Baker was born February 6, 1923 to Samuel Howard and Mattie Bell (Knox) Harris in Cannon County, Tennessee. She passed away August 26, 2013 at her residence in Kingston Springs, Tennessee. She was 90 years of age. She is survived by: son Eddie Harris (Helen) of Smyrna; daughter Kay Stringfield of Nashville; sisters Sylvia Demumbreum (George) of Murfreesboro and Margaret Holder (Ed); grandchildren Michael Edward Harris, Samuel David Harris, Cheryl STringfield, Michelle STringfield, Bubba Stringfield, Brandy Schlecter, and Tommy Bowen. There are several great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her husband William Carmack Baker, sons Brian Lee Baker and Jerry Wayne Baker, and brothers Charles F. Harris and Morris Clayton Harris. She was a dietician for Harpeth High School and a member of the Kingston Springs Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Monroe Carroll Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. A special thanks go to Glen Baker all of his help and support. Visitation will be Friday, August 30th, from 11 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Friday, August 30th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
