Henry Thurman Hayes

Mr. Henry Thurman Hayes was born February 28, 1922 to Joe L. Hayes and Cora May (Sensing) Hayes in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away August 12, 2013 at his residence in Cumberland Furnace. Survivors include: two sons Williams R. Hayes and his wife Media of Cumberland Furnace and Henry Loyd Hayes and his wife Judy of Bon Aqua; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and several great great great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Hayes is preceded in death by his wife Bertha Nell Hayes, daughter Wanda DeLoach, brothers Ellis, Grady, Thomas, Clifford, James, and Vernon Hayes, and sisters Mary Groves, Nora Proctor, Zee Baker, Polly Baggett, Sarah Batey, and Dottie Spann. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14th, from 11 am until 8 pm and Thursday, August 15th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 15th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Garland Breeden officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in Charlotte. Mr. Hayes served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Dunn's Chapel Church of Christ.
