Joe Wayne Conner

Mr. Joe Wayne Conner was born August 11, 1948 to William Boyd Conner and Ozenia (Head) Conner in Maury County, Tennessee. He passed away July 27, 2013 at Specialty Select Hospital in Nashville. He was 64 years of age. Survivors include: wife Janis Gordon Conner; step-son Jonathan Gordon; foster son Tyler Lee Chafin; step-daughter Amanda Orrs; foster daughter Kayla Ann NIcole Chafin; brothers Jerry Leo Conner (Cynthia)of Charlotte, Johnny Lee Conner of Chapmansboro, and Andrew B. Conner (Jodi) of Chapmansboro; sisters Judy Marie Faulkner (Ernest) of Sante Fe, Shirley Ann Spicer (Willie Paul) of Millersville, Carolyn Morris (Charles) of Cumberland City, and Sandra Dee Brewer (Jesse) of Ashland City. Besides his parents, Mr. Conner is preceded in death by his brothers William Boyd Conner, Jr. and Theo Paul Conner. He served his country in the United States Army, 1968-70. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 30th, at the Fairview Chapel from 12 Noon until 8 pm and Wednesday, July 31st, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 31st, from the Fairview Chapel beginning at 12:30 pm with Bro. Charles Chattin officiating. Burial will follow at 2 pm in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. Arrangements by Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home.
