Edward Vallery Melton

Mr. Edward Vallery "Ted" Melton was born August 16, 1925 in Shelby County, Tennessee. He passed away June 19, 2013 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson at the age of 87. He is survived by: son Glenn Melton of Burns; daughter Janice Shelton of Burns; grandchildren Valerie Shelton Burke (Michael) of Franklin and John Zachary Shelton (Michelle) of Newbern; four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother Grace Pearl Melton, wife Betty Lou Melton, and daughter Donna Kay Melton. Visitation will be Friday, June 21st, at the Dickson Funeral Home from 12:30 - 8:00 pm. Private graveside service will be on Saturday Morning at the Union Cemetery in Dickson. Mr. Melton is retired from Schrader Automotive Company. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. in lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
