Elise Dorton

Mrs. Elise Dorton was born January 15, 1917 to James Phillip and Leady Dove (Whitworth) Cannon in Hickman County, Tennessee. She passed away May 13, 2013 at the NHC Healthcare Center of Dickson. She was 96 years of age. She is survived by son Paul Houston Dorton and his wife Joyce of Nunnelly. There are three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Besides her parents, Mrs. Dorton is preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14th, from 4-8 pm and Wednesday, May 15th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 15th, from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 11 am with Bro. Ralph Taylor, Bro. James Wall, and Bro. Randy Fuqua officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery of Dickson. Mrs. Dorton is a retired seamstress with the Henry I. Siegel Manufacturing Company. She is a member of the Pond Church of Christ.
