Mr. James Walter Willis was born March 11, 1926 to Stanton and Ollie (Hale) Willis in Dierks, Arkansas. He passed away April 13, 2013 at his residence in White Bluff, surrounding by his loving family. He was 87 years of age. He is survived by: wife of 59 years Elizabeth Jackson Lowe Willis; step-daughters Carole Lowe Hackney (Pat) of Mt. Juliet and Kathryn Lowe Bradford of Springfield; grandchildren April Hackney, Angela Hackney Bell (Derek), Jonathan Bradford, and Amy Bradford; great grandchildren Ava Gace Bell, Caleb Bell, Mackenzie Bradford, and Ben Bradford. There are two nieces and two nephews. Visitation will be at the White Bluff Chapel on Sunday, April 14th, and Monday, April 15th. Funeral service will be on Monday, April 15th, at the White Bluff Chapel beginning at 11 am with Bro. Pat Hackney officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Williams Cemetery in White Bluff. Mr. Willis was a corporal in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, serving in Okinawa and China.
