Mr. Marvin Wayne Brown was born September 28, 1931 to Marvin and Bonnie Brown in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away December 6, 2012 at Alive Hospice of St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He is survived by: sons Jerry Wayne Brown (Rita) of Burns and Ricky Eugene Brown (Sandra) of Dickson; daughter Connie Sue Daugherty (Joe) of Burns; brothers Wesley Brown of Mumfordville, KY, Edsel Brown of Vanleer, and Roy Brown of Pinewood; sisters Gene Stamper of Burns and Sue Story of Burns; grandchildren Tiara, Scott, Brook, Desiree, Caynne, Brandon, and Camden Brown, Joey Tidwell, and Christie Eleazer. There are six great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his wife Doris and sister Dorothy Bateman. Mr. Brown proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a membe of the Brown's Chapel Church of Christ where he served as deacon. Visitation will be Friday, December 7th, from 4-8 pm and Saturday, December 8th, from 9 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 8th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 11:30 am with Bro. David Peeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
