Elmer Julius Sager

Mr. Elmer Julius Sager was born June 28, 1914 to Julius and Laura (Bates) Sager in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away October 18, 2012 at the NHC Healthcare Center of Dickson at the age of 98. He is survived by: daughters Ann Tidwell of Bay St. Louis, Missouri and Willa Dean Buttrey of Hermitage, Tennessee; step-daughter Josephine Baker of Dickson; sister Alberta Daily of Dickson; grandchildren Vicki Niolet, Karri Tucker, Kristi Grah, Kelli Nelson, and Kennon Troy Buttrey. There are nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Sager is preceded in death by his wife Nellie Emma (Weatherspoon) Sager, brother Jack Sager, sisters Margaret Forrest, Lettie Burkett, Louise Sutton, step-daughter Marie Pate, and great granddaughter Leigh Allyn Tucker. Visitation will be Saturday, October 20th, from 4-8 pm and Sunday, October 21st, from 1-2:30 pm. Graveside service will be Sunday, October 21st, beginning at 3 pm at the Bruce Cemetery in Dickson. Bro. Joel Reynolds will officiate. Mr. Sager proudly served his country in the United States Army (1941-43) during World War II. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
