Mrs. Thelma Lucille Hooper was born January 26, 1931 to Lexie Lloyd and Liza (Davidson) Estes in Humphreys County, Tennessee. She passed away October 15, 2012 at the NHC Healthcare Center of Dickson. She is survived by: sons Troy Wayne Hooper (Chris) of Germany, Jerry Leroy Hooper (Josephine) of Cumberland City, Clayton Lloyd Hooper (Marie) of Dickson, Carlton O'Neal Hooper (Wanda) of Lyles, William Ray Hooper (Kathy) of Dickson, Paul Phillip Hooper (Misty) of White Bluff; daughter Barbara Jean Luther (Tim) of Nashville; brother Eugene Estes of Dickson; sisters Christine Buttrey of Fairview and Hazel Burgess of Dickson; eleven grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Hooper is preceded in death by her husband Troy Eugene Hooper, brother Walter "Billy" Estes, and sister Beatrice Parker. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 17th, from 4-8 pm, and Thursday, October 18th, from 10 am - 8 pm, and Friday, October 19th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Friday, October 19th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Carrington officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery of Dickson. Mrs. Hooper was a longtime volunteer for the American Cancer Society, having served on the local board and working on the annual Cancer Auction as secretary. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
