Lee Armstrong Forster

Mr. Lee Armstrong Forster was born July 3, 1923 to William Omer and Nellie Inez (Choate) Forster in Humphreys County, Tennessee. He passed away October 15, 2012 at the Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly. He was 89 years of age. He is survived by: son Steve Forster (Sharon) of McEwen; daughters Barbara Gail Forster and LeAnne Forster-Stuart (Dwight), all of McEwen; step-daughter Judy McSurley (Don) of Brentwood; brothers Earl, Carl, and Weldon Forster; sister Coralene Harris; special niece Carolyn Averitte; grandchildren Nathan Stuart (Kelly), Adam Stuart (Lauren), Zack Forster, and Isaac Forster; step-grandson Michael McSurley; great grandchildren Travis, Matthew, Noah, Jackson, and Joshua Stuart. Besides his parents, Mr. Forster is preceded in death by wives Mary Jo (Gunn) Forster and Margaret (Murphree) Forster and brother William Omer Forster, Jr. Visitation and funeral service will be at the McEwen Chapel of Luff-Bowen Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 18th, from 3-9 pm and continue on Friday, October 19th, from 9 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Friday, October 19th, beginning at 1 pm with Bro. Jim Suddeath and Bro. James Wall officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lawn Cemetery in McEwen. Mr. Forster proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, 1943-1980, attaining a rank of Master Sargeant. He was a membe of the McEwen Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relef Fund, Healing Hands, or the Tennessee Children's Homes. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
