Dessie Mae Varden

Mrs. Dessie Mae Varden was born June 9, 1923 to Thomas Jefferson and Ina Mae (Hay) Deal in Williamson County, Tennessee. She passed away August 18, 2012 at the Mt. Juliet Health Care Center in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee at the age of 89. She is survived by: son Harold Varden (Evonne) of Clarksville; daughter Peggy Varden Pitt (Dr. Phillip R. Pitt) of Fountain Run, Kentucky; three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. Besides her parents, Mrs. Varden is preceded in death by her husband Geoge Varden, brothers Lloyd and Floyd Deal, infant twin sister Elsie, and son George Terry Varden. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 22nd, at the Pinkerton Cemetery beginning at 11:30 am with her son-in-law, Dr. Phillip R. Pitt, officiating. Visitation will take place beginning at 10 am at the Fairview Chapel prior to service. Pinkerton Cemetery is located just off Highway 96 in the New Hope Community of Fairview.
