Spencer Eugene Hayes

Mr. Spencer Eugene "Gene" Hayes was born May 1, 1932 in Dickson County, Tennessee. He passed away August 12, 2012 at Horizon Medical Center at the age of 80. He is survived by: son Ronny Hayes; daughter Gina Curtis; grandchildren Sally and Jesse Curtis, Kara Tansil, and Sara Hayes; great grandchildren Hayden, Kaitlyn, and Jared Curtis. He is preceded in death by his mother Sallie (Hayes) Edwards, wife Catherine B. Hayes, and cousin Dene Warrick. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 14th, from 3-8 pm and Wednesday, August 15th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 15th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 3:30 pm with Bro. Jeff Lankford and Bro. Donnie Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hayes worked with the Dickson Police Department and Stewart Lumber Company.
