Rachel Roland

Mrs. Rachel Roland was born July 12, 1918 to William Henry and Maude (Cathey) Baker in Dickson County, Tennessee. She passed away May 21, 2012 at the Dickson HealthCare Center at the age of 93. Survivors include: son Dean Hester (Brenda) of White Bluff; step-son Bill Roland (Margaret) of Goodlettsville; daughters Juanita Whitfield of Dickson and Connie England (Buford) of White Bluff; sister Jean Mallory of Dickson; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Roland is preceded in death by her husband William Percy Roland, son Percy Clayton Hester, grandsons Ricky Whitfield and Lonnie Joe Whitfield, brothers L.C, Lawrence, and Les Baker, and sisters Janie Baker, Margie Hunt, Mattie Appleton, and Etta Speck. Visitation will be at the White Bluff Chapel beginning on Wednesday, May 23rd, from 2-8 pm and Thursday, May 24th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 24th, from the White Bluff Chapel beginning at 2 pm with Bro. David Peeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Town Cemetery.
