Bernice Guthrie

Mrs. Bernice Guthrie was born February 24, 1950 to Kenneth Clinton Johnson and Velma Lorraine (Collins) Johnson in Temple, Texas. She passed away April 5, 2012 at her daughter's residence in Dickson. She is survived by: sons Jerry Sumerour (Michelle), Harry L. Guthrie, Jr. (Tara); daughters Melissa Guthrie (Shannon Larkins), Charlotte Coates (Karl); sister Patricia Ann Gunter; grandchildren Tiffany Johnson, J.D. Sumerour, Cody Summers, Olivia Stallings, Kayla Sumerour, Devin Cooper, Josie Guthrie, Amanda Fussell, Cheyenne Fussell, Gabe Coates, Justus Coates; great grandchildren Kylea, Caden, Kadie Johnson and Amiyah gordon. Besides her parents, Mrs. Guthrie is preceded in death by her husband Harry L. Guthrie and sister Elsie Lorraine McBride. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 8th, from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 3 pm with Bro. Tommy Christian and Bro. Mike Jeanette officiating. Burial will follow in the Sherwood Cemetery.
