Mr. Richard Robert Rosencrants was born August 10, 1935 to Richard B. and Evelyne (Seltzer) Rosencrants in Flint, Michigan. He passed away December 11, 2011 at his residence in Dickson. He is survived by: wife, Katherine Jean Rosencrants; daughters, Robin Cady (Ralph) of Dickson; Kimberly Hutchings of Douglasville, GA; Charla Tague (Vance) of Dickson, Lynn Holcomb (Mark) of Niles, MI; brother Bruce Rosencrants (Celine) of Flint, MI; sisters, Nancy Derby (William) of Morristown, TN and Linda Burke of Burton, MI; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides his parnets, Mr. Rosencrants is preceded in death by two brothers, Barry and Brad Rosencrants. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, December 15th, from 10:30 am until the time of service. Memorial service will be Thursday, December 15th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 1 pm with Pastor Nathan Jansen, Rev. Vance Tague, and Rev. Charla Tague officiating. At the request of the deceased and his family, the body will be cremated. His cremains will be buried in the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan at a later date. Mr. Rosencrants proudly served his country as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. John's Lutheran Church, or Caris Hospice.
