Dan Douglas Heathco

Mr. Dan Douglas Heathco was born June 20, 1936 to Oscar and Dollie Virginia (West) Heathco in Cameron, Louisiana. He passed away October 17, 2011 at the Horizon Medical Center in Dickson at the age of 75. Survivors include his wife Fay Heathco, sons Daniel Scott Heathco and his wife Tonya and Samuel Heathco and his wife Jennifer (all of Burns), brother-in-law Jerry Lewis and his wife Barbara of Nashville, sister Marie Whitlow of Decatur, Alabama. There are three grandchildren and one great grandchild along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 19th, from 4-8 PM and Wednesday, October 20th, from 10 am until time of service. Funeral will be Wednesday, October 20th, from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 1 pm with Bro. Thomas Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow the the Union Cemetery of Dickson. Dan Heathco is a published author of "Reba Lundy" and "Poems for All Times". He was also a gifted guitarist and artist. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, having entered service at the age of 14. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
